Development of custom cab over engine with stainless steel body and aluminum door
Designed stainless steel cab body with aluminum doors, focusing on structural strength and weight reduction (achieved 40 kg masssavings).
Performed modal analysis and design sensitivity analysis to optimize cab vibration response.
Conducted roof strength analysis in accordance with SAE J2422 and validated front pendulum impact per ECE R29 Test A and B requirements.
Evaluated cab mount strength, seat and seatbelt anchorage (for both fixed and air ride seats), and overall strength and durability of critical components including steps, handles, and brake pedal.
Analyzed door structure for: Sag and set, Upper frame deflection, Hinge strength, Slam durability, Hyper-extension safety latch, Wind load performance
Engineered shear pin design through analytical calculations; ensured no shear and no cab deformation during operation.
Assessed hydraulic cylinder loading at various cab tilt angles.
